Foster Swift Names 2010 Executive Committee

LANSING, Mich. —  Michigan law firm Foster, Swift, Collins & Smith, P.C. is pleased to announce that its 2010 Executive Committee will include Gary J. McRay, Michael D. Sanders, Brian G. Goodenough, Scott A. Chernich, Michael D. Homier and Paul J. Millenbach.

McRay serves as president of this year's Executive Committee. He is a shareholder and practices from the firm's Lansing location focusing primarily in the areas of health and hospital law, and corporate transactions. McRay received both his undergraduate degree and his juris doctorate from the University of Michigan and the University of Michigan Law School, respectively. McRay has been listed in the Best Lawyers in America since 1993 and Michigan Super Lawyers since 2007.

Sanders continues to serve as vice president in Lansing. His practice areas include insurance defense and workers' compensation. He is a University of Illinois undergraduate, magna cum laude, and he earned his juris doctorate from the Illinois College of Law.. Additionally, he is named in Best Lawyers in America for workers' compensation.

Goodenough serves  as secretary. He also practices in the firm's Lansing location and concentrates in workers' compensation, municipalities, and zoning and land use. Goodenough was named Attorney of the Year by Michigan's largest insurer of municipalities in 2003 and is also included in Best Lawyers of America.

Chernich was re-elected as treasurer of the firm's 2010 Executive Committee. He practices in the Lansing office as well and focuses in the areas of banking law, bankruptcy and commercial litigation. He has also been named in Best Lawyers in America.

Homier is a new elect to Foster Swift's Executive Committee as vice president, Grand Rapids. He focuses his practices from the Grand Rapids office primarily in municipal law including zoning and land use, energy and utilities, and public finance.

Millenbach is newly elected as vice president, Farmington Hills, of the 2010 Executive Committee. He practices from the firm's Farmington Hills and Detroit locations and is general litigation practice group leader. Millenbach's areas of practice include litigation, insurance defense, transportation, mass tort defense and health care.
