Lansing, Mich. – Foster Swift Collins & Smith, PC has been selected as one of just 39 businesses in the country to receive the prestigious President’s “E” Award for 2020. Foster Swift is one of the recipients of the '"E" Award for Export Service' category for assisting and facilitating export activities over a four-year period.

Created in 1961 by Executive Order of the President of the United States, the “E” Award is the highest honor a U.S. entity can receive for making significant contributions to the expansion of U.S. exports. Foster Swift is one of two Michigan businesses to accept this honor.

“Foster Swift Collins & Smith has demonstrated a sustained commitment to export expansion. The “E” Awards Committee was very impressed with the company’s case studies demonstrating measurable export growth achieved by its clients,” said Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross in his congratulatory letter to the firm.

“The company’s work with Federal, State, and local strategic partners to identify low-cost and no-cost services to further its clients’ export growth was also particularly notable. Foster Swift Collins & Smith’s achievements have undoubtedly contributed to national export expansion efforts that support the U.S. economy and create American jobs.”

This important achievement comes during an undoubtedly difficult time. 2020 has been a difficult year for many businesses, with considerable economic uncertainty surrounding the impact of COVID-19 on our country’s businesses, including imports and exports. As a top-ten state for exports, Michigan has also faced its own unique set of economic obstacles. Despite these unexpected challenges, Foster Swift remains steadfast in its commitment as a trusted and reliable advisor, providing a strong platform of support for clients to achieve significant increases in U.S. exports.

Foster Swift’s accomplishments have also paved the way for other businesses to capitalize on their success in the coming years, with exporting support tools that are available to companies in the state of Michigan, including STEP grants.
