Julie Fershtman’s new article, “Animal Law for Insurance Lawyers,” was just published in the ABA Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Law Journal, Vol. 54, Issue 3 (Fall 2019). In the article, Fershtman examines insurance coverage decisions nationwide involving livestock, wild animals, and house pets.  She explored coverage issues as to homeowner’s, commercial liability, and property insurance policies. Her co-author’s section of the article briefly discusses recovery of damages for injured animal cases.
