Foster Swift Announces Election of Michael D. Homier to Serve on Executive Committee

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.— Foster, Swift, Collins & Smith, P.C. is delighted to announce that they have elected firm shareholder Michael D. Homier to serve on the Executive Committee.

Following his undergraduate education at the University of Arizona, Homier earned his juris doctorate, magna cum laude, from the Michigan State University College of Law in 1999. He joined Foster Swift shortly after where he focuses primarily in municipal law including zoning and land use, energy and utilities, and public finance. Homier's additional areas of practice include commercial litigation, construction law and health care.

Homier is admitted to practice law in Michigan as well as in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is an active member of the State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Ingham County Bar Association, the Grand Rapids Bar Association and the National Association of Bond Lawyers. Homier also serves on the Zoning Board of Appeals and the Planning Commission for the Charter Township of Caledonia and is an adjunct professor at the Thomas M. Cooley Law School where he teaches Zoning and Land Use Planning.
