David Lick named MSU Adjunct Faculty Member and Canadian Conference Speaker

Lansing, Mich. - David Lick, a shareholder practicing for the law firm of Foster Swift Collins & Smith PC, has been named as an adjunct faculty member for the Canadian Studies Center, International Studies and Programs at Michigan State University.  As an adjunct faculty member, Lick will be responsible for guest lectures and hosting discussions related to public-private partnerships. 

As a part of his new position, Lick will speak at the "Global Trade and Transportation: Next Steps" Conference, which will take place from June 19 to June 21 at the Lord Nelson Hotel in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.  The event will focus on Halifax as a major transport corridor to Michigan and the rest of the Midwest.  It will also explore current business cases that work, transportation issues and challenges, and plans for an intermodal transport hub in Detroit.  Lick will be presenting regarding his area of expertise, public-private partnerships and their impact on Canada-US relations.  "Trade and Transportation: Next Steps" is joint sponsored by Dalhousie University's Centre for International Trade and Michigan State University's Canadian Study Center.  For further information regarding the event, visit: www.citt.management.dal.ca.

Lick is a graduate of Michigan State University and earned his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School. David is a nationally known attorney for his knowledge and experience in public-private partnerships.  He has developed financing mechanisms for water and wastewater systems, roads, bridges, material recovery facilities and other infrastructure needs.  Lick is named as a Best Lawyer in America, as well as a Super Lawyer for the state of Michigan.
