Foster Swift's Grand Rapids Office Announces Appointments

Foster Swift is pleased to announce that James B. Doezema, a shareholder in the firm’s Grand Rapids office, has recently been named Chair of the City of Grand Rapids Planning Commission. Doezema has served on the Planning Commission since 2002. His law practice is focused in the areas of litigation, real estate and business organization and planning. A graduate of Calvin College, Doezema received his law degree from Vanderbilt University School of Law. He is also a licensed Real Estate Broker.

Also in the Grand Rapids office of Foster Swift, Andrew C. Vredenburg has been reappointed to the Cannon Township Planning Commission and serves as that body’s Vice Chair. He is also Chair of the Cannon Township Zoning Board of Appeals. Vredenburg is resident in the firm’s Grand Rapids office. His law practice is focused in numerous areas including commercial litigation, construction law, environmental, real estate and zoning and land use. He is a graduate of Michigan State University and received his law degree from the University of Detroit.
