Foster Swift Elects Behler, Farrar and Richardson as Shareholders

Foster Swift Collins and Smith, PC has elected Zachary Behler, Joel Farrar and Joshua Richardson as new shareholders of the firm.

Zachary Behler practices at the Lansing office within the Commercial Litigation practice group. His areas of practice include intellectual property, municipal law and environmental law. Behler completed his undergraduate degree at Michigan State University and attended University of Wisconsin to obtain his law degree. He is active in several alumni, community and legal organizations, including the State Bar of Michigan, State Bar of Wisconsin, James Madison Alumni Association, mentoring through the MSU College of Law IP Start-Up program and the Michigan Intellectual Property Law Association.

Joel Farrar is a member of the Business and Corporate Practice Group based in the Lansing office. He focuses his practice in the areas of business organization and planning, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and securities, corporate governance, employee benefits, tax planning, and tax disputes. Farrar is also the chairman of the firm's State and Local Tax Group. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio University and received his juris doctorate from Michigan State University College of Law. Farrar is active in legal, industry and community associations, including Ingham County Bar Association, Entrepreneur Institute of Mid-Michigan (Board of Directors) and The Arts Council of Greater Lansing (Board of Directors).

Joshua Richardson practices in the General Litigation group in the firm's Lansing office. He focuses his practice in the areas of employment litigation, commercial litigation, municipal and governmental liability law, and information technology law. Richardson attended undergraduate school at Michigan State University and earned his juris doctorate from the Indiana University School of Law. He is actively involved in several professional and community organizations, including the State Bar of Michigan, the Ingham County Bar Association, Michigan Defense Trial Counsel (Board of Directors) and the Boys & Girls Club of Lansing (Board of Directors, Vice Chair).
