
Clifford L. Hammond
Overview
Clifford Hammond is an experienced labor and employment attorney based in both our Southfield and Lansing offices. He specializes in employment law and labor negotiations, offering expert counsel and litigation services across a wide range of employment-related matters. With extensive experience in the National Labor Relations Act, Michigan Employment Relations Commission, Federal and State Courts, and various administrative agency proceedings, Clifford provides comprehensive legal solutions while remaining cost effective. His practice includes collective bargaining, arbitration, mediation, union avoidance, employment litigation, and dispute resolution.
Clifford regularly leads seminars for prominent groups such as The American Hospital Association, American Society of Employers, Michigan Health and Hospital Association, Airport Minority Advisory Council, Michigan Public Employer Labor Relations Association, Lansing Chamber of Commerce, Michigan Chamber of Commerce, and the Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber. He is also a prolific writer on topics including unionization trends, the National Labor Relations Board, developments in employment law, The Affordable Care Act, employee classification, wage and hour law, and employee discipline and counseling.
In addition to his legal practice, Clifford is the co-chair of the Labor & Employment Committee for the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel. He is also an active member of the Defense Research Institute and the Michigan Council of the Society for Human Resource Management.
