Overview

Jackie Dupler is a family law attorney serving clients across mid-Michigan. She specializes in a wide range of family law matters, from straightforward divorce cases to family situations with more complicated circumstances. Jackie works directly with clients from pre-filing divorce through the entire process, including Friend of the Court preparation and hearings, discovery, mediation, emergency motions, negotiation, trial, and appeals.

She has extensive experience navigating family situations involving substance abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault, mental health concerns, co-parenting, and financial difficulties with the nuance these cases require. As part of her family law practice, Jackie handles complex asset and debt-related issues such as business ownership, self-employment, and complicated retirement accounts and pensions.

Committed to practicing family law with compassion, Jackie advocates firmly for her clients with the best interest of all in mind—especially when children are involved. She understands that every family is different, with unique wishes and outcomes, but more importantly, that legal matters regarding divorce, custody, parenting time, child support, and spousal support have ramifications that extend far beyond the courtroom.

Jackie works closely with her clients to not only obtain the best results regarding their case but to also help prepare them in the long run for real-life changes as the family dynamics evolve. With a tailored and effective approach, she believes in encouraging resolution and compromise where possible. Jackie’s philosophy in divorce negotiations is, “Sometimes you have to love your kids more than you hate your ex-spouse!”

In the event that resolution cannot be met outside the courtroom, Jackie represents her clients with confidence, staying focused on assertively promoting their best interests through legal action.
