Overview

Destiny Hughes is an attorney in Foster Swift’s Lansing office. Her practice is focused on a broad range of litigation issues, including divorce and child custody disputes, real property conflicts, landlord/tenant cases, and breach of contract actions. Destiny is also a member of the firm's Appellate group and has worked on appeals in the Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit, Michigan Court of Appeals, and Michigan Supreme Court. Her practice is centered on serving her clients with empathy and rigor, whether she is assisting a family-owned business in a breach of contract action or helping a new mom maneuver a complicated divorce.

Destiny currently serves on the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan’s Board of Leadership for the Mid-Michigan Chapter as its Secretary. She is also a member of ATHENA WIN, a women’s interest network that provides a support system for professional women in the Lansing area. In addition, Destiny serves on the Board of Directors for the Ingham County Bar Association's (ICBA) Young Lawyers Section (YLS), serving as the Board’s President-Elect, and is Co-Chair of the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel's (MDTC) Young Lawyers Section. She is a member of the Michigan Supreme Court Historical Society and the Michigan Supreme Court’s Advocates Guild, an organization for attorneys who have appeared before the Michigan Supreme Court in calendared appeals.

Destiny lives in East Lansing, Michigan with her husband, Cole, her two black cats named Jasper and Apollo, and her dog, Murphy. In her free time, Destiny enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time outdoors.
