Badri Yono Jr.

Badri Yono Jr. is an attorney with Foster Swift’s Business & Tax practice group, where he focuses a significant portion of his practice on estate planning, trusts and estates, and business succession planning. He works with individuals, families, and business owners to develop estate plans designed to protect their assets, provide for their families, plan for incapacity, and accomplish their long-term goals.

Badri assists clients with wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, wealth-transfer planning, probate and trust administration, and other estate planning matters. He works closely with clients to understand their family circumstances, assets, and objectives and to develop plans tailored to their particular needs.

For business owners and entrepreneurs, Badri’s estate planning and corporate practices frequently intersect. He advises clients on business succession planning, ownership transitions, buy-sell arrangements, and other strategies for transitioning closely held and family-owned businesses. His corporate experience allows him to consider both the personal estate planning and business implications of a succession plan and help clients coordinate the long-term transition of their businesses with their broader estate planning objectives.

Badri also assists fiduciaries and families with probate and trust administration following the death of a loved one, helping them understand their responsibilities and navigate the administration process.

In addition to his trusts and estates practice, Badri advises businesses and business owners on general corporate and transactional matters and represents health care providers and organizations on business, contractual, and regulatory matters.

Badri earned his J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and his undergraduate degree cum laude from Oakland University.
