Mikhail "Mike" Murshak is a licensed patent attorney and experienced Intellectual Property (IP) attorney specializing in patent, trademark strategy and acquisition, and general IP and business counseling including preparation, prosecution, and licensing.

Having helped companies of all sizes and industries, Mike has a passion for working with start-ups where he is able to help in making a cost-effective strategic plan to build a strong IP portfolio and avoid risky pitfalls. This includes assisting his clients with negotiating terms, reviewing agreements, and due diligence. Mike's background includes preparation and prosecution of patents in areas that include: medical devices, manufacturing, consumer products, computer technology, automotive, aerospace, chemical engineering, nanotechnology, and sleep technology.

Mike's career in Intellectual Property started as he worked as an IP analyst for a jet engine company. Mike also previously served as lead IP Counsel for a high-end luxury sleep technology company based in Michigan. In that role, he drove the company’s IP acquisition strategy for both patents and trademarks, helping secure their position as the most innovative company in the sleep industry.
