Overview

Charlie Sarchet is an associate with the business and tax practice group in the firm’s Grand Rapids office. Charlie plays a prominent role in the Foster Swift Sports group, assisting with various matters in sports law and name, image, and likeness representation. He also assists in matters involving mergers and acquisitions, entity formation, individual and business tax law, and employment law.

When I found out that Grand Valley had a 3 + 3 program with MSU Law that required me to commit to the curriculum my freshman year, I decided to take a chance and try law school with the goal of combining my love for sports and business with the law. Today, I am confident that my decision has placed me in the best position possible to accomplish that goal, and so far, I am loving every minute of being an attorney."

Charlie graduated from Michigan State University College of Law in 2022. While earning his Juris Doctor degree, he was the President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society, a member of the Business and Securities Law Institute and an articles editor for the Michigan State University Law Review. Charles earned his B.A. in Management Information Systems from Grand Valley State University (GVSU) where he was also a member of the GVSU Law Society.
