Overview

David Russell has extensive experience in the area of Sports Law, including the representation of NFL and CFL Professional Football players. David is committed to helping his sports clients make good career and life decisions by ensuring that they understand the options available.  In addition to his work with individual sports clients, Russell has assisted NCAA Division 1 Universities in coordinating development events and fundraisers.  Also, David has drafted contracts for a scouting service provider to NCAA teams.  

Russell joined Foster Swift in 2010 after gaining corporate and commercial litigation experience at two smaller mid-Michigan law firms.   In addition to his sports law practice, Dave practices in the areas of business law, real estate law, entertainment law, probate and estate administration as well as related litigation in these areas.  A former manager and owner of several successful businesses, Dave has first-hand knowledge of the legal and operations challenges business clients face.
