Badri Yono Jr.

Badri Yono Jr. is an attorney with Foster Swift’s Business & Tax practice group, where he focuses a significant portion of his practice on advising health care providers, organizations, and businesses on transactional, regulatory, and corporate matters. He works with clients to navigate the intersection of health care regulation and the practical business considerations involved in operating and growing a health care organization.

Badri assists health care clients with organizational and governance matters, business transactions, affiliations, commercial and provider agreements, and regulatory compliance. His practice includes reviewing and negotiating contracts, advising on organizational structures and ownership matters, and helping clients evaluate the legal and regulatory considerations associated with health care transactions and business arrangements.

His broader corporate practice complements his health care work. Badri advises businesses and business owners on entity formation, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, commercial agreements, ownership transitions, and other general business matters. This experience allows him to approach health care matters from both a regulatory and business perspective, with an understanding that legal solutions must also work within a client’s operational and strategic objectives.

Badri also maintains an estate planning and trusts and estates practice, where he assists individuals, families, and business owners with wills, trusts, powers of attorney, wealth-transfer planning, probate and trust administration, and business succession planning.

Across his practice, Badri takes a practical and detail-oriented approach, working to understand each client’s objectives and provide clear, workable guidance for both immediate legal needs and longer-term planning.

Badri earned his J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and his undergraduate degree cum laude from Oakland University.
