Littleton Elected to the Detroit Bar Association Board

Ray LittletonSouthfield, Mich. – Foster Swift attorney, Ray H. Littleton, was elected as a board member of the Detroit Bar Association (DBA). Ray has over 15 years of experience in commercial and insurance defense litigation.

Founded in 1836, the DBA is the oldest and largest bar association in the state of Michigan. The DBA’s role in the law industry is to, “…connect and collaboratively lead the lawyers of today and tomorrow to be ready to address the most pressing concerns of the legal community and optimize conditions to achieve access to justice.” A DBA board member serves Detroit’s legal community through practice development, networking, and community service. Members are tasked with continuing Detroit’s tradition of the ethical, successful practice of law and fair administration of justice.

Ray has a history of involvement with the State Bar of Michigan. He previously served as Chair of the Rules and Calendar Committee on the State Bar of Michigan Representative Assembly and serves as a representative on the Assembly for Oakland County.

Ray is a graduate of Yale University and Marquette University Law School. He joined Foster Swift in 2012 and has since become a Shareholder and is the chair of the firm’s Diversity Committee and a member of the recruiting committee. Ray will be continuing the tradition of Foster Swift being active in the DBA—attorney Paul Millenbach served as the board’s president from 2022-2023.
