Foster Swift Welcomes Associate to Municipal Practice

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. —Foster Swift Collins & Smith welcomes associate Mallory E. Reader to its municipal practice group in the firm’s Grand Rapids office.

In addition to helping local units of government with their legal issues, she also practices in the areas of administrative law, licensing and election campaign finance law. Growing up Hartland, Michigan, Mallory knew she wanted to be a lawyer since high school “I first became interested in law during my high school government class's unit on the judicial branch. My teacher taught us about Supreme Court cases impacting the rights of students, and I was instantly hooked.”

Before entering private practice, Mallory worked for a prominent Washington DC think-tank where she authored amicus briefs on the topics of individual rights and administrative agency power.

Mallory earned her Bachelor’s in Political Science, cum laude from Hope College prior to attending the University of Notre Dame Law School where she received her Juris Doctor.

Municipal Law is an ever-growing area of practice at Foster Swift Collins & Smith. For quarterly newsletter updates, visit fosterswift.com/communications-signup.html.
