Equine Activity Liability Act/Farm Animal Activity Liability Act Update

The first equine activity liability act was passed in 1989, and now 48 states have some form of statute, although they all differ. Over time, these laws have changed, with some states broadening their reach from equines to "farm animals."

Although this presenter has addressed these laws and how they work (and sometimes don't work), this presentation will focus on trends over the last 5–6 years and how these laws have fared in the courts.
