Concerns and Obligations for Businesses Under the Corporate Transparency Act

Filling Out ReportThe Corporate Transparency Act (CTA), signed into effect in early 2021, is set to dramatically change reporting requirements for many small and medium-sized businesses and organizations.

For the first time ever, the legislation will mandate that qualifying businesses self-report information about the people who created, own, lead or have influence over them, as well as information about the business itself. All the information will be added to a federally managed database with criminal penalties for violations. So what effect will this have on your organization in 2022 and beyond?

Join us next week for our Second Wednesday Morning Break where we will discuss: Concerns and Obligations for Businesses Under the Corporate Transparency Act:

This session will feature moderator Patricia Scott and commercial litigator Rob Hamor discussing the following questions:

  1. What is the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA)?
  2. Who has to report to the CTA Database?
  3. What information needs to be reported to the CTA Database?
  4. What are the penalties for not reporting?
  5. How do I get more information?

With implementation of the CTA on the horizon, we encourage all attendees to bring questions with them to this virtual session.
