Attorney John Mashni will present virtually at the 2021 Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) Nonprofit Conference on October 5, 2021. His topic will cover Three Steps to Forming a Charity or 501 (c) (3) Organizations.

This session covers the process to form a nonprofit, including formation of a charity. Specifically, the selection of an entity, creation of organizing documents, governance, policies, application for tax exemption (including IRS Form 1023), and registration with the attorney general.
