Big Box Stores Lose as State Supreme Court Drops Big Tax Case

The state supreme court ruled it will not review the Michigan Court of Appeals’ ruling in the case of Menards v. City of Escanaba, where Menards’ officials were appealing the building’s property tax assessments by the city for 2012, 2013 and 2014. Foster Swift attorney Jack Van Coevering represented the city of Escanaba in this case.
