Beckwith Becomes President of Transportation Lawyers Association

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI - Attorney Dirk Beckwith has assumed the presidency of the Transportation Lawyers Association (TLA). TLA's new President is a shareholder with the law firm of Foster Swift Collins & Smith PC in Farmington Hills, Michigan.  Dirk is the second Foster Swift attorney to be elected President of TLA.  Bob McFarland was TLA's President during the 2002-2003 term.  Beckwith has a wealth of experience advising and representing transportation companies and their insurers.  He specializes in several areas of the firm's litigation practice, including complex commercial and transportation litigation.

Beckwith received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and thereafter attended Wayne State University Law School where he received his juris doctorate in 1983.  Beckwith has specialized in the area of transportation and related insurance law over the course of his 30 years in the practice of law.
