Michigan Venture Capital Update

On May 2, 2011, the Michigan Venture Capital Association issued its 2010 annual report.  In 2010, Michigan had more venture capital firms with offices in Michigan, more investment professionals, and more capital under management than in any prior year.  The amount of money invested in Michigan companies in 2010 was higher than in any other year except 2008.  While Michigan continues to be a smaller player in the venture capital arena than many other states, Michigan's venture capital community has continued to grow during a time when the national trend is downward.  Foster Swift is proud to be a member of the Michigan Venture Capital Association.  If you would like to receive more information from the Michigan Venture Capital Association's 2010 annual report, please contact Iris Linder.
