Foster Swift attorneys have experience handling a variety of utility matters, spanning from cable matters to telecommunications matters to energy matters.  On the energy side, we have drafted power purchase agreements – including renewable energy power purchase agreements – and have experience with MPSC cases regarding approvals of renewable energy power purchase agreements.

On the telecommunications side, Foster Swift's attorneys also handle an extensive array of telecommunications issues.  This includes resolving issues concerning the Michigan Telecommunications Act, the Federal Telecommunications Act, and the related state and federal administrative rules. It also includes practicing before the MPSC in matters on telecommunications issues, such as contested case cost study cases, license applications, license expansion applications, 2-1-1 applications, and handling other disputes between providers, as well as comment cases.  Lastly, our attorneys draft and negotiate contracts and interconnection agreements related to telecommunications endeavors for clients.
