Thomas R. Meagher

Tom is a litigator and appellate practitioner with over 25 years experience in state and federal courts.  He concentrates his practice on cases involving constitutional, civil rights, employment, whistleblower, and tort litigation on behalf of private and municipal clients.  He has been recognized by his peers and the bench for his integrity and legal abilities.

Representative Matters

• Secured unanimous published decision of the Michigan Supreme Court in 2010 in a case involving constitutional due process and taking claims following three week trial.
• Secured two unanimous published decisions of the Michigan Court of Appeals in 2008 and 2010 in cases of first impression involving first amendment rights of religious institutions.
• Favorable decisions from the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit in several cases involving employment, civil rights, and constitutional zoning claims.
• Numerous victories on dispositive motions in wide range of cases over many years of practice in the state and federal courts.
