With over 30 years of legal experience, Joe joined Foster Swift in 2002. A member of the General Litigation Practice Group, Joe's primary areas of practice are automobile no-fault defense, medical malpractice defense, parent-child law and third party reimbursement issues regarding health care providers.
He received his bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from the University of Detroit in 1968 and his M.S.W. and J.D., cum laude, from Wayne State University.
As one of the few attorneys in Michigan who holds a Master of Social Work degree and who practiced in child and family therapy before becoming an attorney, Joe is especially qualified to handle the highly sensitive and often emotionally charged issues that accompany parent-child law matters. Joe has considerable expertise in representing the child or the parent(s) in adoption, abuse and neglect.
A long time Boy Scout volunteer, Joe develops and delivers training programs for other Scouting volunteers.
