Dana Bennett is a member of the firm's General Litigation Practice Group where she handles workers' compensation and insurance defense matters. On the workers' compensation matters, Dana represents insurance carriers, third-party administrators and employers. She also defends insurance companies on fraud, auto theft, first party no-fault, third party no-fault, medical malpractice as well as property and auto claims.
Before embarking upon her legal career, Dana taught literature, English, and speech to middle school students. While at Wayne State, she distinguished herself as a member of the Saint Thomas More Law Society, as Vice Dean of Delta Theta Phi Legal Fraternity and was a member of Moot Court Executive Board. Her exceptional litigation skills were recognized early in her career as she was a member of the Wayne State Law School Team that won the 2003 National Moot Court Competition in addition to receiving numerous individual awards, including Best Oral Advocate at both the regional and national competitions.
Dana is a member of the American Bar Association, the Ingham County Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan and is admitted to practice in Michigan. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Young Lawyers’ Section of the Ingham County Bar Association.
