When one of our clients has a problem or opportunity outside of Michigan——in the United States or internationally——our firm needs a deep bench to which it can turn.

Foster Swift’s membership in Lexwork International provides this breadth and depth.  Lexwork International is an association of midsized independent law firms in major cities located throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia.   Currently there are 41 member firms worldwide.  Lexwork International includes more than 2500 lawyers in 36 countries with offices in more than 110 cities.

In today's sophisticated marketplace, increasing numbers of corporate clients recognize that midsized law firms offer a high-quality, cost-effective alternative to the big international law firms and a higher level of personal service. Every firm in the Lexwork network maintains rigorous practice standards. In addition, each member firm is required to maintain appropriate professional indemnity insurance.

Each member firm provides all of the normal services required by corporate clients, within its own jurisdiction. Member firms also combine to provide effective support for cross-border transactions.

Our member firms all practice independently and are not bound to refer work to each other. They do, however, all cooperate as members of Lexwork International with a view to obtaining the benefits that come from membership, for them and their clients.
